Gift Voucher Terms & Conditions

Last updated: 22 October 2026

1. Who we are

Shamitay gift vouchers are sold by Wandering Albatross Ltd, trading as Shamitay, a company registered in Ireland (CRO 435216, VAT IE9659755L), Daingean, Co. Offaly, Ireland. Email: info@shamitay.com.

2. The voucher

A Shamitay gift voucher is a prepaid voucher with a unique code that can be put towards the price of wreaths and other goods sold at shamitay.com. Vouchers are available in values of €25, €50, €100 and €200. Your voucher will be emailed to you within 24 hours of purchase as a PDF showing its value, code and expiry date. If you add the recipient’s name and a message in the Order notes at checkout, we will add them to the voucher.

Every Shamitay wreath is hand-made and one of a kind, so the range changes over time. A voucher is a way to pay. It does not reserve a particular wreath, and wreaths are sold on a first-come, first-served basis.

3. Validity and your rights under the Gift Vouchers Act 2019

4. Using your voucher

5. Your 14-day right to cancel

Under the Consumer Rights Act 2022, if you buy a voucher online as a consumer you may cancel within 14 days of the day of purchase without giving a reason, provided the voucher has not been used. To cancel, email info@shamitay.com with your name, order number and the words “I wish to cancel my voucher order”. We will cancel the voucher code and refund you in full, using the same payment method, within 14 days of receiving your cancellation.

After 14 days, or once a voucher has been used (in whole or in part), the purchase cannot be cancelled or refunded. This does not affect your right to a balance under section 3.

6. Lost or stolen vouchers

Please treat your voucher like cash and keep the code safe. We are not obliged to replace a lost voucher, but if you contact info@shamitay.com we will try to help using our order record. Once a code has been redeemed we cannot reissue its value.

7. Fraud and misuse

Vouchers must not be resold or offered for sale without our consent. We may refuse, cancel or suspend any voucher that we reasonably believe was obtained fraudulently, copied, altered or bought with a stolen payment card, and may report suspected fraud to the Gardaí.

8. Your statutory rights

Nothing in these terms limits your statutory rights as a consumer, including under the Consumer Protection (Gift Vouchers) Act 2019 and the Consumer Rights Act 2022.

9. Governing law and complaints

These terms are governed by the laws of Ireland, and the Irish courts have jurisdiction. If you have a complaint, please contact us first at info@shamitay.com. You can also use the Small Claims procedure.
